2D formulation of the semi-lagrangian advection. Unconditionally stable advection used in stable-fluids solvers.
This is the 2d variant of the Semi-Lagrangian Advection. Semi-Lagrangian schemes trace characteristics backward in time and interpolate, giving stability at large timesteps — the basis of Stam's Stable Fluids.
