At equilibrium, the ratio of product to reactant concentrations equals the constant K. For A + B ⇌ C + D the extent of reaction x solves K = x²/((A₀−x)(B₀−x)). A large K drives the reaction toward products; a small K leaves mostly reactants. Educational tool.
