Reading this result: 120×80 plate in Aluminum 6061 (4 mm, 4× Ø5 mm, M5 clearance). Download the DXF for an exact laser / CNC / waterjet cut, the STL to 3D-print (7,644 triangles), or the BOM. Est. mass ~103 g, ~$2.32. Prototyping aid — verify fit and load with real testing.

How it works

Fabricate closes the last gap between simulation and a physical object. Design a parametric plate or mounting bracket — width, height, thickness, hole diameter, and layout — and export production-ready files: a DXF with exact geometry and circular holes for laser cutting, CNC, or waterjet; a watertight STL to 3D-print; and a bill of materials listing the stock (with estimated mass and cost by material) plus correctly-sized bolts, nuts, and washers with supplier search links. It's a prototyping aid — always verify fit and load with real testing before relying on a part.

Frequently asked questions

Is this design to DXF STL bill of materials tool really free?
Yes. Fabricate runs entirely in your browser using your device's own compute, so local use is free forever. You only pay Compute Tokens if you scale a job to the cloud.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs client-side in a modern browser — no downloads, no license, no account required to start.
Can I save or share my simulation?
Create a free account to save projects, and use a shareable embed or minted DOI to publish a live, interactive version anywhere.
How accurate are the results?
The solver uses established numerical methods, but results are for research and educational purposes and should be validated against experiment or professional review before you rely on them.
